Ananya Bhaktaram is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Community Health and Letters with minors in Geographic Information Systems and Economics. She recently joined PHD in Fall 2020 and has primarily been working on a project studying the effect of race on mental health and status dropout rates at OU. Outside of her involvement with PHD, Ananya has been studying the clotting complications in severe COVID-19 cases and the link between venous thromboembolism in cancer at the Health Sciences Center. Additionally, she has worked with the Carl Albert Center for Congressional Research as an undergraduate research fellow since 2018 and is currently working on a project looking at how fringe conservative groups have radicalized the Republican party. Outside of her research and on-campus involvement, Ananya enjoys playing board games, cooking, and drinking tea with friends when she has the time.
