Anshule Takyar ( is a junior studying Public Health and Microbiology and is a PHD Team Lead. Anshule has been involved with PHD since Fall 2017 and is currently the Team Lead for the Spring 2020 Environmental Health project. In previous semesters, he was involved in the Alcohol, Vaping and Nutrition projects.

Outside of his involvement with PHD, Anshule is working on a genomic epidemiology project tracking temporal and spatial transmission of Zika and Chikungunya in Bolivia under the guidance of Dr. Matthew Miller. Additionally, Anshule serves as the Vice President of the India Student Association and an Outreach Chair of the Minority Health Sciences Conferences. Anshule aspires to integrate public health and medicine in his future career.
